Delta Integrity Group, Uko do Nation Forge Alliance to Mobilise Support for Oborevwori’s Re-election
The Integrity Group of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, and Ukodo Nation have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation in support of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The alliance was sealed during a courtesy visit by the Chairman of the Delta State Chapter of the Integrity Group of Nigeria, Comrade Dr. Bolum Martin Nwachukwu, to the Founder and Chairman of Ukodo Nation, Chief (Dr.) Morrison Olori (JP), whose political support organisation has been actively campaigning for the re-election of Governor Oborevwori and President Tinubu.
Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Bolum described Governor Oborevwori’s re-election as “sacrosanct,” citing what he described as the governor’s purposeful leadership, commitment to inclusive governance and sustained investment in the development of Delta State.
According to him, the governor’s MORE Agenda has continued to deliver measurable improvements across key sectors, including infrastructure, road construction, healthcare, education, agriculture, youth and women empowerment, rural development and economic growth throughout the state’s three senatorial districts.
He further noted that the administration’s focus on peace, political inclusiveness and people-centred governance has strengthened public confidence while ensuring that development reaches communities across Delta State.
Dr. Bolum stated that the Integrity Group of Nigeria would intensify mobilisation efforts in every ward and local government area across the state to support Governor Oborevwori, President Tinubu and all APC candidates under the group’s #APC5Over5 campaign.
As part of the event, the Director-General of the Integrity Group of Nigeria, Dr. Oke Idawene, formally installed Chief Morrison Olori as the National Ambassador of the Integrity Group of Nigeria and honoured him with the title Father of the Integrity Group in Ughelli North, in recognition of his contributions to grassroots political mobilisation and engagement.
Responding, Chief Olori expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Integrity Group for the visit and reaffirmed Ukodo Nation’s readiness to work closely with the organisation in building a formidable political structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
He also commended former Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, for supporting Governor Oborevwori’s emergence as governor, describing the decision as one that has continued to benefit Delta State.
Chief Olori praised Governor Oborevwori’s administration for its achievements in infrastructure development, healthcare, education, youth and women empowerment, prudent resource management and inclusive governance, adding that the administration has strengthened peace, unity and public confidence across the state.
An accomplished industrialist, Chief Olori is the founder of Sparkling Breweries Limited, Olo Cold Drinks (Nigeria) Limited, Olo Plastic Industries and Oloris Hotel, Ughelli.
Among those present at the meeting were Comrade Lawson Efenudu, Director of Organised Labour for the Integrity Group of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter, Local Government Coordinators from Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Sapele, Isoko South, Isoko North, Patani and Okpe, alongside the group’s vice chairmen for Delta Central and Delta South, the State Secretary and other executive members. Members of the Ukodo Nation Executive Committee were also in attendance.
The meeting concluded with both organisations reaffirming their commitment to working together in expanding grassroots mobilisation and political engagement in support of the APC and its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
