2Baba Speaks on Natasha Feud During Daddy Showkey’s 50 Years on Stage Performance

Nigerian music icon 2Baba has addressed the controversy surrounding his reported feud with his wife, Natasha Osawaru, during a performance at Daddy Showkey’s 50 Years on Stage celebration in Lagos.

The singer made the remarks on Sunday, August 9, 2026, while performing at the landmark concert held at Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island.

2Baba’s appearance came amid growing public interest in reports of tension between him and Natasha following an alleged incident at an Abuja nightclub where the singer was scheduled to perform.

During his performance at Daddy Showkey’s celebration, 2Baba appeared to make a reference to the situation, telling the audience that he had decided to stop looking for trouble after what he had experienced.

“I don go look for trouble. I don hear am,” the singer said.

He further added in Pidgin English that, going forward, he had decided not to look for trouble again.

When a fan from the crowd appeared to interpret his comments as being about love, 2Baba sharply responded, “Na love? You dey craze.”

The remarks have since generated attention online, coming amid reports that the singer had unfollowed Natasha on Instagram and refollowed his former wife, Annie Idibia. However, neither 2Baba nor Natasha has publicly provided a detailed account of the reported nightclub incident, meaning several claims surrounding the dispute remain based on media reports and social media footage. Beyond the controversy, 2Baba also used his appearance at the event to celebrate Daddy Showkey and reflect on their long-standing connection.

According to reports of Ezisi Media Consult (EMC Tv) from the concert, the Afrobeats veteran recalled that Daddy Showkey was the first person to give him a US dollar note early in his career. He said the gesture was particularly memorable because it was his first time seeing a dollar note.

Daddy Showkey’s “The Journey! My 50 Years on Stage as an Entertainer” celebration brought together several generations of Nigerian entertainers, with performances from artistes including 2Baba, Teni, 9ice, Tony Tetuila, African China, Danfo Drivers, Korede Bello, Baba Fryo and others.
