Donald Trump has warned that any country supplying weapons to Iran will face a 50 percent tariff on all goods exported to the United States, with no exemptions.
Trump made the statement in a post on his Truth Social platform on Wednesday, April 8, shortly after announcing a ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran.
“A country supplying military weapons to Iran will be immediately tariffed on any and all goods sold to the United States of America, 50 percent, effective immediately,” he wrote. “There will be no exclusions or exemptions.”
In a separate post the same day, Trump also declared that Iran would no longer be allowed to enrich uranium. He added that both nations would cooperate to remove nuclear materials allegedly buried following US airstrikes on Iranian facilities last year.

“The United States will work closely with Iran, which we have determined has gone through what will be a very productive regime change,” he stated, hours after announcing a two-week ceasefire in the Middle East conflict.
He further noted that there would be no uranium enrichment going forward, adding that efforts would be made to recover and remove deeply buried nuclear remnants, referencing the aftermath of previous US military operations.
