The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed 945 personnel across Delta State to strengthen security and ensure a peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration throughout the state.
State Commandant Chinedu F. Igbo stated that the large-scale deployment was necessitated by the presence of critical national assets and infrastructure owned by the Federal, State, and Local Governments, alongside key privately owned facilities with significant economic importance in Delta State.

According to the NSCDC Delta State Command, the security operation is designed to protect lives and property before, during, and after the Eid-el-Kabir festivities across the state.
The Commandant also directed all deployed officers and personnel to work closely with other security agencies to provide maximum security coverage and maintain law and order during the Sallah celebration.
The 945 security personnel were selected from several tactical and specialized units within the Corps, including the Counter Terrorism Unit, Rapid Response Squad, and Female Squad, among others.
Commandant Chinedu further disclosed that 24-hour surveillance and patrol operations would be intensified around the 2nd Niger Bridge, while additional security monitoring would be carried out in identified flashpoints and black spots across Delta State.
He assured Muslim faithful, residents, and visitors of adequate security presence at Eid prayer grounds, public centers, and strategic locations during the festive period.
The NSCDC Delta State Command also extended warm wishes to Muslim faithful and all Deltans for a safe, peaceful, and memorable Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
